Household member ID number explanation

We need your sponsor's ID number to calculate your combined household family income.
The combined annual household family income is one of the minimum requirements we need to check for all students applying for the bursary opportunity.
The ID numbers you submit must be of anybody who is over 18 in your household. The person does not have to be employed.
Our service provider will use the ID number you submit to check your combined annual family income.

Please make sure that your ID copy:

• Is certified within the last 6 months and the certification date is clear
• Is not password-protected
• Shows all your details (name, picture, and ID number) clearly and is readable. The ID copy should not be too dark, too light, or have a blur
• If you have a smart card ID, both sides of the smart card need to be certified
• Matches the details entered on your profile (e.g. same name, surname & ID number) Is a scanned copy and not a picture or a screenshot
• Is not cut off in any way. The whole ID must be visible in the copy

Please make sure that the fee statement:

• Is not older than 30 days
• Has the official university letterhead OR stamped by the university
• Is not a screenshot of your student portal
• Is not your proof of registration or fee quotation
• Clearly shows the full amount you owe (e.g. balance owed by you)
• Is not a letter from a lawyer
• Is not password-protected

Please make sure your EEA1 form:

• Is completed using the official template: Download the EEA1 Form
• Is filled in electronically — you do not need to print, sign, and scan it
• Uses your student number in the box labelled “Employee Number”
• Has all required sections completed clearly and accurately (including demographic info and declaration)
• Is saved as a PDF or Word document and is not password-protected
• Is clear, legible, and not cut off in any way

Please make sure your letter of completion or proof of registration:

• Has the official university letterhead or an official university stamp
• Is for your final year or completed qualification
• Is not password-protected
• Is clear, legible, and all details are easy to read
